The software or firmware, among thousands of other things, also controls the touch sensitivity of the touch screen of your Xiaomi Mi 1S. If the ghost touch issue on your Xiaomi Mi 1S started after you performed a software update, it is probably the cause of ghost touches. You should try to factory reset your Xiaomi Mi 1S; if it doesn’t work-If the ghost touch issue only hits your Xiaomi Mi Note Pro when you plug it to charge, it is most probably caused due to the charger. Test if the issue persists with a different charger. Before you buy a new charger, I suggest you borrow one from your family members or friends and verify if your charger is indeed faulty.
Ghost/Phantom Touch update. I posted a short while back about how my Surface Book 2 had random phantom/ghost touches on the touch screen that only went away when I disabled the touch function. I downloaded the Microsoft Surface Diagnostic Toolkit from the Microsoft store and it ran all the tests. It specifically has a phantom touch test.
